How we give back
Supporting our local community is deeply important to our hearts. These are some of the organizations we have had the pleasure of partnering with.
A shop takes up space in a neighborhood, and that comes with some obligation to the people already doing hard work in it.
Rather than spread ourselves thin, we partner with a small number of organizations here in Evanston and Chicago. Between them they cover what a community actually runs on: diapers for families who can't afford enough of them, housing for neighbors facing homelessness, childcare and a sense of belonging for local kids, and homes for animals who need them.
Every one of them takes help directly. If something here speaks to you, the links below go straight to the organization — not to us.
Our partners
Bundled Blessings Diaper Bank
A diaper bank for Evanston. Diapers are as essential to a child's health and well-being as food and shelter, yet one in three families struggles to afford enough to keep their babies and toddlers clean and dry. Learn the many ways you can help.
Connections for the Homeless
The agency in Chicago's northern suburbs delivering essential services to people facing homelessness and housing insecurity — partnering with the community to provide comprehensive, compassionate, well-resourced programs, and working toward an end to homelessness where everyone has safe and stable housing.
Childcare Network of Evanston
Creating a sense of belonging speaks to the core of their mission — kids who feel they belong learn better in school, and families who feel they belong are more invested in their child's education, progress, and life outcomes. Belonging is powerful.
PAWS Chicago
PAWS Chicago's lifesaving success is rooted in the No Kill model, which can be replicated in any community. Since it was founded in 1997, the city has seen euthanasia drop by more than 92.5% — much of it attributable to solutions-oriented programs that ensure pets don't just survive, but thrive.
